NEURAL VISION CORRECTION (NVCtm)

Patient Information

Clinician Information

Introduction

NeuroVision, Inc. - a medical technology company, has developed the NVC™ vision correction technology - a non-invasive, patient-specific treatment based on visual stimulation and facilitation of the neural connections responsible for vision. The NeuroVision AA1 System is a computerized system developed for the treatment of adult Amblyopia (Lazy Eye). The system has received FDA 510K marketing clearance indicating the treatment of Amblyopia for patients aged 9 years and above. Medical Service Options, Inc. (“MSO”) distribute NeuroVision’s AA1 Adult Amblyopia Treatment product in the US and Canada.

How it Works

The Amblyopia treatment is computer-based, composed of a series of about 30-40 sessions, usually 3 sessions per week. The computer-assisted part of the treatment is home-based or at a local eye-care professional.

Along the treatment course, the patient is monitored by a certified eye care provider who performs a comprehensive screening examination in order to assist in establishing patient’s eligibility to the treatment.

Treatment Results

The treatment results are individual, and the vision improvement level depends on patient's specific visual deficiencies

Among patients who participated in the clinical trials and had an initial visual acuity between 20/30 and 20/100, strabismic and / or anisometropic amblyopia, and less than 8 prism diopter strabismus, 80% achieved the following results:

  • Patients with initial visual acuity between 20/30 and 20/40 achieved a better than 20/25 visual acuity.
  • Patients with initial visual acuity between 20/40 and 20/50 achieved a better than 20/30 visual acuity.
  • Patients with initial visual acuity between 20/50 and 20/100 achieved a better than 20/40 visual acuity.

In addition to the improvement in the distance visual acuity, patients also achieved a remarkable improvement in binocular vision (the ability to use both eyes together) and in near vision.

Persistence tests, one year after the end of the treatment, demonstrate excellent stability in the achieved visual acuity.
